THESE BEING THE WORDS OF THE FIRST MATRIARCH OF VENUS AND EARTH, ANNA RICE BAIRD, AS RECORDED ON CASSETTE IN 1996, WHEN SHE WAS JUST 22 YEARS OLD. AT THE TIME SHE WAS AN UNWED MOTHER OF TWO COLLECTING FOODSTAMPS AND WATCHING RICH LADIES' BABIES WHILE THEY WENT TO THE GYM. MY MOTHER GAVE ME THIS TAPE UPON MY FIRST MENSES AND I TRANSCRIBED AND MEMORIZED IT FOR RECITATIONS TO MY PEERS.
-
MY MOTHER DESCRIBED THE MATRIARCH AS SHE WAS THEN: "PLUMP (SHE WAS BREASTFEEDING), WITH A CROOKED NOSE, BEAUTIFUL TEETH, A HIGH ROUND FOREHEAD, FULL SENSUOUS LIPS AND DARK FLASHING EYES. HER HAIR WAS A MOUSY BROWN AND CUT ABOMINABLY IN A DO-IT-YOURSELF SHAG (A STYLE 20 YEARS OLD FROM THE DENIGRATED '70's). SHE SPOKE IN A WHISPER SO AS NOT TO DISTURB HER BABY, BUT THERE WAS AN INTENSITY, A PASSION, THAT I HAVE NEVER FORGOTTEN. SHE WAS NOT PRETTY AND I THINK IF I HAD NOT HEARD HER SPEAK I WOULD HAVE THOUGHT HER UGLY, MAYBE EVEN STUPID. OF COURSE, NOW..."
-
THE MATRIARCH HAS NEVER REFUTED THESE WORDS AND SHE SMILED WHEN I RECITED THEM ON THE OCCASION OF HER TWO HUNDREDTH BIRTHDAY (HER CRYOGENIC SUSPENSION HAVING BEEN IN EFFECT FOR OVER A CENTURY THEN) AND SAID WHEN I WAS FINISHED, WITH A TOUCH OF LONGING, "WHAT A LITTLE SPITFIRE!"
The Advent of the Industrial Society
The Advent of the Industrial Society has standardized machine parts given rise to assembly-line techniques for manufacturing. This was all very good for the machines and Robber Barons who have profited from them, but not very good for us.
In moving from the Agrarian Society developed by the early matriarchs in the prehistoric Middle East, later supplanted by the marauding patriarchs, we move from a family unit of the Tribe, an interdependent, intergenerational cohesion of workers both general and specific, to the Industrial Birthing Pair which forms the base of the Industrial Workforce.
The Industrial Birthing Pair
The Industrial Birthing Pair as a family unit is extremely mobile and malleable, thus highly exploitable by the Robber Barons whose greed has informed most of the development of this century.

Archetypical Mindsets
The Matriarch, because all the world is conceived as passing (in one form or another) through her loins, has a more personal interest in, thus a more nurturing attitude toward, the success of society.
The Patriarch, not having undergone the rigors of childbirth, therefore having no conception of the Value of Life, views reality unrealistically as something to be gained by force or force of will, as the lands of an enemy, to be given to his progeny.
The soulless Robber Baron, devoid of spirit or interest in the future(not believing in any afterlife for in it he would surely be reviled) spends his energies exploiting all in order to stockpile wealth for his personal aggrandizement, viewing even his wives and children as so much chattel inasmuch as they may be viewed as invoking jealousy in others who have not.
